महाराष्ट्र साहित्य परिषदेच्या 2021 च्या दिवाळी अंक स्पर्धेत ‘शब्दालय’ दिवाळी अंकाला प्रतिष्ठेचे ‘विविध ज्ञानविस्तारकर्ते रावसाहेब मोरमकर पारितोषिक’ प्रदान करण्यात आले.

महाराष्ट्र साहित्य परिषदेतर्फे आयोजित 2021 च्या दिवाळी अंक स्पर्धेत ‘शब्दालय’ दिवाळी अंकाला चंद्रकांत शेवाळे पुरस्कृत ‘विविध ज्ञानविस्तारकर्ते रावसाहेब मोरमकर पारितोषिक’ प्रदान करण्यात आले. मराठी साहित्य आणि दिवाळी अंकांच्या समृद्ध परंपरेत शब्दालयने केलेल्या गुणवत्तापूर्ण योगदानाची या पुरस्काराद्वारे दखल घेण्यात आली.
या पारितोषिक वितरण समारंभाला 95व्या अखिल भारतीय मराठी साहित्य संमेलनाचे अध्यक्ष भारत सासणे प्रमुख पाहुणे म्हणून उपस्थित होते. महाराष्ट्र साहित्य परिषदेचे कार्याध्यक्ष प्रा. मिलिंद जोशी, कोषाध्यक्ष सुनीताराजे पवार आणि दिवाळी अंक स्पर्धेचे समन्वयक वि. दा. पिंगळे यांचीही प्रमुख उपस्थिती होती.
भारत सासणे यांनी दिवाळी अंकांच्या साहित्यिक आणि सांस्कृतिक योगदानावर भाष्य केले. दिवाळी अंकांनी अनेक लेखकांना घडवले, विविध साहित्यप्रकार समृद्ध केले आणि वाचकांना कलाभान व वैचारिक समृद्धी दिली, असे त्यांनी नमूद केले. त्यामुळे दिवाळी अंक हा मराठी माणसाच्या सांस्कृतिक जीवनाचा मानबिंदू असल्याचे त्यांनी सांगितले.
कोरोना संकटाच्या कठीण काळातही आर्थिक अडचणींचा सामना करत संपादकांनी मराठी दिवाळी अंकांची 113 वर्षांची परंपरा कायम ठेवली, याबद्दल प्रा. मिलिंद जोशी यांनी संपादकांचे कौतुक केले. त्याचवेळी दिवाळी अंकांनी नव्या लेखकांचा शोध घेणे आणि वाङ्मयीन गुणवत्ता जपणे आवश्यक असल्याचेही त्यांनी अधोरेखित केले.
स्पर्धेत ‘लोकमत’, ‘अक्षरदान’, ‘सृजनसंवाद’, ‘गोदातीर्थ दिवाळी ई-विशेषांक’, ‘निर्मळ रानवारा’, ‘आकांक्षा’ आणि ‘कृष्णाकाठ’ यांनाही विविध साहित्यिक पुरस्कारांनी गौरवण्यात आले. डॉ. संगीता बर्वे, मनोहर सोनवणे आणि मंजिरी बोन्द्रे यांनी स्पर्धेचे परीक्षण केले.
‘शब्दालय’ दिवाळी अंकाला मिळालेले रावसाहेब मोरमकर पारितोषिक हे शब्दालयच्या साहित्यिक गुणवत्तेचे, संपादकीय दृष्टिकोनाचे आणि मराठी वाचनसंस्कृतीतील सातत्यपूर्ण योगदानाचे महत्त्वपूर्ण मानांकन आहे.

The Shabdalaya Diwali magazine received the Chandrakant Shewale-sponsored Vividh Dnyanvistarak Raosaheb Moramkar Award at the Maharashtra Sahitya Parishad’s 2021 Diwali magazine competition. The prestigious recognition celebrated Shabdalaya’s commitment to quality Marathi writing, thoughtful editorial presentation and the cultural tradition of Marathi Diwali publications.
The awards were presented by Bharat Sasane, president of the 95th Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Sahitya Sammelan. Maharashtra Sahitya Parishad Executive President Prof. Milind Joshi, Treasurer Sunitaraje Pawar and competition coordinator V. D. Pingle were also present at the ceremony.
Speaking at the event, Bharat Sasane highlighted the important role of Diwali magazines in nurturing writers and enriching different forms of Marathi literature. He observed that outstanding Diwali publications have strengthened readers’ cultural awareness, intellectual engagement and literary appreciation.
Prof. Milind Joshi commended editors for preserving the 113-year-old Marathi Diwali magazine tradition despite the financial and practical challenges created by the COVID-19 pandemic. He also emphasised the importance of maintaining literary quality and creating opportunities for emerging Marathi writers.
Other publications recognised in the competition included Lokmat, Akshardan, Srujansanvad, Godatirth Diwali E-Special Issue, Nirmal Ranwara, Akanksha and Krishnakath. Dr. Sangeeta Barve, Manohar Sonawane and Manjiri Bondre served as the competition’s judges.
The Raosaheb Moramkar Award represents an important milestone for Shabdalaya and acknowledges its continuing contribution to Marathi literature, editorial excellence and Maharashtra’s reading culture.
