शब्दालयच्या संस्थापिका सुमती लांडे यांना ८ मार्च २००६ रोजी जागतिक महिला दिनानिमित्त ‘ज्येष्ठ व श्रेष्ठ महिला गौरव पुरस्कार’ प्रदान करण्यात आला. त्यांच्या सामाजिक, साहित्यिक आणि प्रकाशन क्षेत्रातील उल्लेखनीय कार्याची दखल घेणारा हा सन्मान शब्दालयच्या इतिहासातील एक गौरवशाली आणि प्रेरणादायी क्षण आहे.

Recognising her noteworthy contribution to society, literature and publishing, this honour represents a proud and inspiring milestone in the history of Shabdalay.
According to the inscription on the trophy, the award was conferred by Mrs. Rajshri Jayant Sasane, Municipal President of the Shrirampur Municipal Council, Shrirampur. The award was created to recognise senior, accomplished and inspiring women whose work made a meaningful contribution to society.
Through the establishment of Shabdalay, Sumati Lande has contributed to Marathi literature, quality book publishing, the encouragement of authors and the promotion of reading culture.
