साहित्य अकादमी आणि शब्दालय प्रकाशन यांच्या संयुक्त विद्यमाने १ व २ जुलै २०२२ रोजी श्रीरामपूर येथे नव्वदोत्तरी मराठी नाटकावर दोन दिवसीय नाट्यपरिसंवाद; उद्घाटन सतीश आळेकर, अध्यक्ष रंगनाथ पठारे.
Sahitya Akademi and Shabdalaya Prakashan brought playwrights and critics to Shrirampur on 1 and 2 July 2022 to examine three decades of change in Marathi theatre; Satish Alekar inaugurated, Ranganath Pathare presided.
साहित्य अकादमी आणि शब्दालय प्रकाशन यांच्या संयुक्त विद्यमाने 1 व 2 जुलै 2022 रोजी श्रीरामपूर येथे ‘नव्वदोत्तरी नाटक : आशय आणि रूप’ या विषयावर दोन दिवसीय नाट्यपरिसंवाद आयोजित करण्यात आला. गेल्या तीन दशकांतील जागतिकीकरण, उदारीकरण, खाजगीकरण, बदलती कुटुंबव्यवस्था, सामाजिक-राजकीय उलथापालथ आणि व्यक्तीकेंद्री जीवनशैली यांचा मराठी नाटकाच्या आशय, रूप आणि सादरीकरणावर झालेला परिणाम हा या परिसंवादाचा केंद्रबिंदू होता.
या कार्यक्रमाचे उद्घाटन ज्येष्ठ नाटककार सतीश आळेकर यांच्या हस्ते झाले, तर अध्यक्षस्थानी ज्येष्ठ साहित्यिक व साहित्य अकादमीच्या मराठी सल्लागार मंडळाचे संयोजक रंगनाथ पठारे होते. प्रसिद्ध लेखक व अभ्यासक दत्ता भगत यांच्या बीजभाषणाने परिसंवादाला वैचारिक दिशा मिळाली. राजन गवस, सुमती लांडे, प्रेमानंद गज्वी, नीळकंठ कदम, स्वागत थोरात, सचिन शिंदे, प्रवीण भोळे, रमेश भोळे, गिरीश पतके, प्रवीण काळोखे, प्राजक्त देशमुख, प्रतिक पुरी, रमेश रावळकर आणि दत्ता पाटील अशा अनेक मान्यवरांनी विविध सत्रांत सहभाग घेतला.
परिसंवादात नव्वदोत्तरी नाटकाचे सादरीकरण, बदलते आशय व भूमिका, नाट्यभान, मराठी नाट्यपरंपरा आणि नव्वदोत्तर मराठी नाटक यांवर सखोल चर्चा झाली. आधुनिक तंत्रज्ञानाचा प्रभाव, बदलत्या प्रेक्षकवर्गाची संवेदना, ग्रामीण-शहरी नाट्यसंस्कृती, नाट्यलेखनातील नवे प्रयोग आणि भविष्यातील मराठी रंगभूमीच्या शक्यता यांचा ऊहापोह करण्यात आला. समारोपाच्या सत्रात सतीश आळेकर यांचे नाट्यवाचन झाले आणि सुमित लांडे यांनी आभार मानले.

A two-day theatre symposium titled “Post-1990 Marathi Theatre: Content and Form” was jointly organised by Sahitya Akademi and Shabdalaya Prakashan in Shrirampur on 1 and 2 July 2022. The symposium examined how the last three decades of globalisation, liberalisation, privatisation, political and social change, changing family structures and individual-centred lifestyles have influenced the themes, form and performance of Marathi theatre.
The event was inaugurated by senior playwright Satish Alekar, with noted writer and Sahitya Akademi Marathi Advisory Board convener Ranganath Pathare presiding over the opening session. Writer and scholar Datta Bhagat provided the keynote framework for the discussion. Distinguished participants included Rajan Gavas, Sumati Lande, Premanand Gajvi, Neelkanth Kadam, Swagat Thorat, Sachin Shinde, Pravin Bhole, Ramesh Bhole, Girish Patke, Pravin Kalokhe, Prajakta Deshmukh, Pratik Puri, Ramesh Rawalkar and Datta Patil.

The sessions explored performance practices, changing themes and social positions in post-1990 plays, theatre consciousness, regional theatre movements, and the relationship between Marathi theatrical tradition and contemporary drama. The symposium highlighted how changing technology, visual culture, rural and urban experiences, and new modes of storytelling continue to reshape Marathi theatre. The programme concluded with a dramatic reading by Satish Alekar.
