‘कथेंतरीची कथा’ या शीर्षकाखाली पु. ना. परांजपे यांनी विलास सारंग यांच्या ‘आतंक’ या कथासंग्रहाचा चिकित्सक आढावा घेतला आहे. शब्दालय प्रकाशन, श्रीरामपूर यांनी प्रकाशित केलेल्या या संग्रहात आधुनिक जीवनातील अस्वस्थता, मानवी अस्तित्वातील गुंतागुंत आणि बदलत्या सामाजिक वास्तवाचा साहित्यिक शोध दिसतो. कात्रणावरील नोंदीनुसार हे परीक्षण २६ ऑक्टोबर २००१ रोजी महाराष्ट्र टाइम्समध्ये प्रसिद्ध झाले.
