शब्दालयच्या चौथ्या वर्धापनदि न सोहळ्यात साहित्य आणि सहकार चळवळीवर विचारमंथन Shabdalay’s Fourth Anniversary Event Highlights Literature and the Cooperative Movement

श्रीरामपूर येथे आयोजित शब्दालयच्या चौथ्या वर्धापनदिन सोहळ्यात आणि दिवाळी अंक प्रकाशन कार्यक्रमात माजी केंद्रीय मंत्री अण्णासाहेब शिंदे यांनी सहकार चळवळीच्या सद्यस्थितीवर परखड भाष्य केले. सहकारी साखर कारखान्यांमधील गैरप्रकारांमुळे संपूर्ण सहकार चळवळीची प्रतिमा मलिन होत असल्याची खंत त्यांनी व्यक्त केली. साहित्यिकांनी समाजातील दोष दाखवतानाच ते सुधारण्यासाठी संवेदनशील आणि विधायक भूमिका घ्यावी, असेही त्यांनी सांगितले.

या साहित्यिक सोहळ्यात नामदेवराव देसाई यांच्या ‘पंचनामा’ कथासंग्रहाचे प्रकाशन झाले. आपल्या लेखनात दिसणाऱ्या व्यक्ती किंवा घटनांमुळे कोणाच्या भावना दुखावल्या गेल्यास क्षमा करावी, अशी नम्र भूमिका देसाई यांनी व्यक्त केली. ग्रामीण आणि शहरी जीवनातील बदल, साहित्याची सामाजिक जबाबदारी आणि वाङ्मयीन गुणवत्तेची गरज यांवरही कार्यक्रमात चर्चा झाली.

रेणू देशपांडे यांच्या ‘अश्रू पाखरे’ काव्यसंग्रहाचे प्रकाशन या कार्यक्रमात करण्यात आले. शब्दालयच्या संपादिका सुमती लांडे यांनी साहित्यिक उपक्रमामागील भूमिका स्पष्ट केली. दर्जेदार साहित्य वाचकांपर्यंत पोहोचवणे आणि चांगल्या पुस्तकांना प्रकाशनाचे व्यासपीठ उपलब्ध करून देणे हा शब्दालयचा संकल्प असल्याचे त्यांनी नमूद केले.

सकाळ वृत्तपत्रात प्रसिद्ध झालेले हे वृत्तकात्रण शब्दालय प्रकाशनाच्या सुरुवातीच्या साहित्यिक प्रवासाचा महत्त्वाचा दस्तऐवज आहे. कथासंग्रह, काव्यसंग्रह, दिवाळी अंक आणि सार्वजनिक साहित्यिक चर्चांच्या माध्यमातून मराठी साहित्यविश्वाशी शब्दालयने निर्माण केलेले नाते या वृत्तातून अधोरेखित होते.

A literary programme marking Shabdalay’s fourth anniversary and the publication of its Diwali issue was organised in Shrirampur. Speaking at the event, former Union minister Annasaheb Shinde expressed concern that irregularities within cooperative institutions were damaging the reputation of the wider cooperative movement.

The event also celebrated Marathi literature through the release of Namdevrao Desai’s short-story collection Panchanama. Desai spoke about his writing and its relationship with people and events drawn from society. Discussions at the programme highlighted changing rural and urban life, literary sensitivity and the responsibility of writers to engage constructively with social realities.

Renu Deshpande’s poetry collection Ashru Pakhare was also released during the programme. Shabdalay editor Sumati Lande explained the publication’s commitment to bringing meaningful and high-quality literature before readers.

Published in the Marathi newspaper Sakal, this clipping preserves an important chapter in Shabdalay’s literary and publishing history. It records Shabdalay’s continuing association with Marathi books, authors, poetry, short stories, public discussions and culturally significant publishing initiatives.
