To mark 20 years of Shabdalay Publications, a series of book exhibitions was organised in Sangamner, Ahmednagar, Shrirampur and Nashik. Announced by publisher and founder Sumati Lande, the initiative represents an important milestone in Shabdalay’s continuing efforts to connect Marathi books with readers across Maharashtra.
शब्दालय प्रकाशनाच्या २० वर्षांच्या साहित्यिक वाटचालीनिमित्त महाराष्ट्रातील संगमनेर, अहमदनगर, श्रीरामपूर आणि नाशिक या चार शहरांमध्ये पुस्तक प्रदर्शनांचे आयोजन करण्यात आले होते. या उपक्रमाची माहिती शब्दालयच्या प्रकाशिका आणि संस्थापक सुमती लांडे यांनी दिल्याचे वृत्तकात्रणात नमूद आहे.
या पुस्तक प्रदर्शनांचा उद्देश दर्जेदार मराठी पुस्तके विविध शहरांतील वाचकांपर्यंत पोहोचविणे, साहित्याविषयी रुची निर्माण करणे आणि लेखक, प्रकाशक व वाचक यांच्यात थेट संवाद घडविणे हा होता. प्रदर्शनांसोबत पुस्तक प्रकाशन, कविसंमेलन, चित्रकला आणि साहित्यिक कार्यक्रमांचेही आयोजन करण्यात आले होते.
वृत्तानुसार या कार्यक्रमांना साहित्यिक, कवी, कलाकार, सामाजिक कार्यकर्ते आणि स्थानिक मान्यवरांचा सहभाग लाभला. विविध शहरांमध्ये आयोजित केलेल्या प्रदर्शनांमुळे स्थानिक वाचकांना मराठीतील दर्जेदार पुस्तके एकाच ठिकाणी पाहण्याची आणि खरेदी करण्याची संधी उपलब्ध झाली.
पुस्तक प्रदर्शन हे केवळ विक्रीचे माध्यम नसून वाचनसंस्कृती समृद्ध करणारे साहित्यिक व्यासपीठ आहे. अशा प्रदर्शनांतून नव्या लेखकांना वाचकांपर्यंत पोहोचण्याची संधी मिळते, तर वाचकांना विविध विषयांवरील पुस्तके, लेखक आणि साहित्यप्रवाह यांचा परिचय होतो.
शब्दालय प्रकाशनाची वीस वर्षांची वाटचाल आणि चार शहरांमध्ये आयोजित पुस्तक प्रदर्शनांची ही वृत्तनोंद शब्दालयच्या साहित्यिक बांधिलकीचे प्रतीक आहे. मराठी पुस्तके, लेखक आणि वाचक यांना जोडण्याच्या शब्दालयच्या सातत्यपूर्ण प्रयत्नांमधील हा महत्त्वपूर्ण Press & Media दस्तऐवज आहे.
A series of book exhibitions was organised in Sangamner, Ahmednagar, Shrirampur and Nashik to commemorate 20 years of Shabdalay Publications. According to the newspaper report, the initiative was announced by Sumati Lande, publisher and founder of Shabdalay.
The exhibitions aimed to bring quality Marathi books closer to readers in different cities, encourage interest in literature and create direct connections among authors, publishers and readers.
