श्रीरामपूर येथे शब्दालय प्रकाशनच्या पुस्तकवारी पुस्तक दालन आणि पुस्तक प्रदर्शनाचे उद्घाटन झाले. या वेळी आमदार लहू कानडे यांनी शब्दालयने मराठी साहित्य क्षेत्रात स्वतःचा ठसा निर्माण केल्याचे गौरवोद्गार काढले.
Shabdalaya Prakashan inaugurated its Pustakvari book gallery and exhibition in Shrirampur, celebrating its publishing journey, new Marathi books and continuing contribution to Maharashtra’s literary culture.
श्रीरामपूरमध्ये शब्दालय प्रकाशनच्या पुस्तकवारी पुस्तक दालनाचे उद्घाटन आमदार लहू कानडे यांच्या हस्ते करण्यात आले. पुस्तक प्रदर्शनाचे उद्घाटन राष्ट्रवादी काँग्रेसचे प्रदेश सरचिटणीस अविनाश आदिक यांनी केले. शब्दालयच्या संस्थापिका सुमती लांडे, नगराध्यक्षा अनुराधाताई आदिक, अतिरिक्त पोलीस अधीक्षक दीपालीताई काळे तसेच साहित्य, शिक्षण आणि सामाजिक क्षेत्रातील मान्यवर कार्यक्रमाला उपस्थित होते.
आमदार लहू कानडे यांनी शब्दालयच्या साहित्यिक प्रवासाचे कौतुक केले. सुरुवातीच्या काळात मोजकी पुस्तके प्रकाशित करणाऱ्या शब्दालयने ७०० हून अधिक पुस्तकांपर्यंत केलेली प्रगती उल्लेखनीय असल्याचे त्यांनी सांगितले. सुमती लांडे यांनी १९८०च्या दशकात लावलेले प्रकाशन संस्थेचे रोपटे आज मोठ्या वटवृक्षात रूपांतरित झाल्याची भावना त्यांनी व्यक्त केली.
कार्यक्रमात शब्दालयच्या पहिल्या प्रकाशनांपैकी लेखक नामदेवराव देशाई यांच्या पंचनामा पुस्तकाच्या दुसऱ्या आवृत्तीचे प्रकाशन अविनाश आदिक यांच्या हस्ते झाले. तसेच बालसाहित्य, विज्ञान, संस्कार आणि शिक्षणाशी संबंधित पाच पुस्तकांचे प्रकाशन करण्यात आले. महाराष्ट्र राज्य साहित्य आणि संस्कृती मंडळावर नियुक्ती झाल्याबद्दल साहित्यिक संतोष खेडलेकर यांचा सत्कारही झाला.
अविनाश आदिक यांनी बदलत्या काळानुसार नव्या आव्हानांना सामोरे जाण्याची आवश्यकता व्यक्त केली. अनुराधाताई आदिक यांनी शब्दालयच्या सातत्यपूर्ण साहित्यसेवेचे अभिनंदन केले. दीपालीताई काळे यांनी तरुणांमध्ये वाचनाची आवड निर्माण करण्यासाठी महाविद्यालयांमध्ये पुस्तकांचा अधिक प्रचार व्हावा, असे मत मांडले.
डॉ. प्रमोद काळे यांनी सुमती लांडे यांच्याकडून मिळालेल्या साहित्यनिर्मितीच्या प्रेरणेचा उल्लेख केला, तर नामदेवराव देशाई यांनी त्यांच्या आठवणींना उजाळा दिला. सुमती लांडे यांनी उपस्थितांचे स्वागत केले, मृण्मयी लांडे यांनी प्रास्ताविक केले आणि सुमित लांडे यांनी आभार मानले.
शब्दालय पुस्तकवारीचे हे दालन वाचकांना मराठी पुस्तके एकाच ठिकाणी पाहण्याची आणि खरेदी करण्याची संधी देणारे महत्त्वाचे साहित्यिक केंद्र ठरले. पुस्तक प्रकाशन, प्रदर्शन आणि साहित्यिक संवाद यांच्या माध्यमातून श्रीरामपूरमधील वाचनसंस्कृतीला नवी चालना देणारा हा उपक्रम ठरला.
The Shabdalaya Pustakvari book gallery was inaugurated in Shrirampur by MLA Lahu Kanade, while Avinash Adik, state general secretary of the Nationalist Congress Party, opened the accompanying book exhibition. Shabdalaya founder Sumati Lande, municipal president Anuradhatai Adik, Additional Superintendent of Police Dipalitai Kale and several literary and educational personalities attended the programme.
Speaking at the event, MLA Lahu Kanade praised Shabdalaya for establishing a distinctive identity in Marathi literature. He observed that the publishing initiative started by Sumati Lande during the 1980s had grown from a small literary venture into an institution with more than 700 published books.
The programme also featured the release of the second edition of Panchnama, one of Shabdalaya’s earliest publications by writer Namdevrao Desai. Five additional books related to children’s literature, science, values and education were released. Marathi writer Santosh Khedlekar was felicitated following his appointment to the Maharashtra State Board of Literature and Culture.
Avinash Adik spoke about adapting to new challenges in a changing world, while Anuradhatai Adik congratulated Shabdalaya on its sustained literary work. Dipalitai Kale encouraged greater promotion of books in colleges to develop reading habits among young people.
Dr Pramod Kale acknowledged Sumati Lande’s role in inspiring his literary work, and senior writer Namdevrao Desai shared memories from Shabdalaya’s publishing journey. Sumati Lande welcomed the guests, Mrinmayi Lande delivered the introductory address and Sumit Lande proposed the vote of thanks.
The Shabdalaya Pustakvari gallery created a dedicated space where readers could discover and purchase Marathi books. By bringing together book exhibitions, new publications and literary interaction, the initiative strengthened Shrirampur’s reading culture and expanded Shabdalaya’s connection with readers.
