या प्रकाशन सोहळ्याच्या निमित्ताने विद्याधर पुंडलिक यांच्या व्यक्तिमत्त्वाचा आणि त्यांच्या साहित्यिक योगदानाचा वेध घेणाऱ्या ग्रंथाचे वाचकांसमोर औपचारिक प्रकाशन करण्यात आले. साहित्य क्षेत्रातील मान्यवरांच्या उपस्थितीमुळे हा कार्यक्रम विशेष ठरला.
निबिड अरण्यात शिरून आपल्या पावलांच्या ठशांनी नव्या वाटा निर्माण करणारा, मोजकेच पण मौलिक लेखन करणारा लेखक ही विद्याधर पुंडलीक यांची ओळख 'चक्र' या एकांकिकेतील मूल्यानुभव 'माता द्रौपदी'त संक्रमित करुन तिला मातृपद प्रदान करणारा बालमनाचे विलोल विभ्रम, ओंजळीत भरताना त्यांना प्रौढाच्या जरठ मनामनगटाने न हाताळणारा मानसशिल्पी. मृत्यू या पूर्ण विरामात शिरताना ज्याचे चिंतन श्रेय-प्रेयाच्या चिंतनाशी सलगी करतं ते प्रज्ञावंत पुंडलीक. नवकथाकारांच्या बहर पर्वात आपला स्वायत्त स्वर जपणारा आणि कथा रचनेचे बांधकाम मृगजळातलं नसतं, ते असतं एका बेलाग जलदुर्गाचं, हे साक्षांकित करणारा कथाकार. अस्तित्व पोखरणारे एकाकीपण, अस्तित्व नामशेष करणारा मृत्यू या विषयीचं डोह खोल चिंतन बोलकं करणारा बहुपिंडी आणि बहुपेडी साहित्यिक म्हणजे पुंडलीक. त्यांच्या वाङ्मयाचा काटेतोल विमर्ष डॉ. केशव ताशी यांनी घेतला आहे. गुण-दोष दिग्दर्शनही त्यांनी संयमाने आणि समीक्षेतल्या संज्ञासंकल्पनांचे जंजाळ अव्हेरून केलं आहे. डॉ. केशव ताशी यांच्या या लेखनात उद्योन्मुख समीक्षकाचा पायरव जाणवतो.

‘Vidyadhar Pundalik: Vyakti ani Vangmay’, written by Dr. Keshav Tashi and published by Shabdalaya Prakashan, was formally launched in Kolhapur on Saturday, 24 February 2024.
The book launch ceremony was held at the Conference Hall, Shahu Smarak, Dasara Chowk, Kolhapur, at 5:30 PM. The book was released by Dr. Avinash Sapre, while Dr. Ashok Chousalkar presided over the programme.
The event brought Vidyadhar Pundalik’s personality, literary vision and contribution to Marathi literature into focus and provided readers with an opportunity to engage with Dr. Keshav Tashi’s critical study of this distinctive Marathi writer.
A Critical Study of Vidyadhar Pundalik’s Literary World
