मालेगाव येथे डॉ. एस. के. पाटील लिखित ‘तुकाराम : अहिराणीतील निरूपण’ या ग्रंथाचा प्रकाशन सोहळा उत्साहात संपन्न झाला. ज्येष्ठ साहित्यिक व समीक्षक डॉ. रंगनाथ पठारे यांच्या प्रमुख उपस्थितीत पुस्तकाचे प्रकाशन करण्यात आले. कार्यक्रमाच्या अध्यक्षस्थानी पालकमंत्री दादा भुसे होते.
मालेगाव येथे डॉ. एस. के. पाटील लिखित ‘तुकाराम : अहिराणीतील निरूपण’ या ग्रंथाचा प्रकाशन सोहळा मान्यवरांच्या उपस्थितीत संपन्न झाला. ज्येष्ठ साहित्यिक डॉ. रंगनाथ पठारे आणि पालकमंत्री दादा भुसे यांच्या प्रमुख उपस्थितीत झालेल्या या कार्यक्रमात अहिराणी भाषेची समृद्ध परंपरा, संत साहित्य आणि अहिराणीतील साहित्यनिर्मितीचे महत्त्व अधोरेखित करण्यात आले.
कार्यक्रमातील प्रमुख विचार
प्रकाशनप्रसंगी डॉ. रंगनाथ पठारे यांनी अहिराणी भाषेची समृद्ध परंपरा आणि तिच्या साहित्यिक सामर्थ्याबद्दल विचार मांडले. अहिराणी ही मोठ्या लोकसमूहाची भाषा असून तिला शब्दांची आणि लोकपरंपरेची समृद्ध परंपरा लाभली आहे, असे त्यांनी नमूद केले.
संत तुकारामांचे विचार आणि साहित्य अहिराणी भाषेत मांडण्याचा डॉ. एस. के. पाटील यांचा प्रयत्न महत्त्वपूर्ण आहे. अशा साहित्यकृतींमुळे संत साहित्य नव्या वाचकांपर्यंत पोहोचण्यास मदत होते आणि अहिराणी भाषेच्या साहित्यविश्वालाही नवे बळ मिळते, असा सूर कार्यक्रमात व्यक्त झाला.

डॉ. पाटील अहिराणी भाषा प्रदेशात अहिराणीतून अध्यात्मकथन, प्रवचन, अध्यात्मिक संवाद करीत असतात. खेडोपाडी, वाड्यावस्त्यांवर 'ग्यानबा-तुकाराम' 'रामकृष्णहरि' 'जय हरि' हा गजर होत आला आहे. महाराष्ट्र संस्कृती ही वारकरी संस्कृतीच होय. भजन, पूजन, किर्तन, नामजप, हरिनाम सप्ताह, वारी-दिंडी, एकादशी, अष्टगंध ही महाराष्ट्र संस्कृतीची प्रतिके आहेत आणि जीवनसाधना मार्गही आहेत. अनेक उत्सवांमध्ये वारकरी जीवनतत्वांचे आचरणही होत आले आहे. हे सारे लक्षात घेऊनच डॉ. एस. के. पाटील यांनी संतश्रेष्ठ तुकोबांचे अभंग येथे अहिराणीतून उलगडून दाखवले आहेत. तुकोबांची अभंगगाथा घरोघरी पोहचली आहेच, आजच्या आपल्या मराठी भाषकांच्या ओठी-पोटी सर्वाधिक पोहचलेले आहेत, ते तुकोबा. तुकोबा हे श्रवण-पठण, मनन, भजन, किर्तन या मार्गाने पिढ्यानुपिढ्या धडे देतात आणि सडेतोडपणे खडसावतातही आणि म्हणूनच डॉ. पाटील यांनी तुकोबांच्या अभंगांचे अहिराणीतून सार्थ कथन घडवलेले आहे. अभंगाचे अहिराणीतले हे अर्थकथन प्रत्येक वाचकाला विचारप्रवृत्त करते, आपल्याला उद्देशूनच हे खडे अहिराणी बोल सुनावले आहेत असे वाटू लागते. लोकसंवादशैलीचा अप्रतिम कथनप्रयोग म्हणूनही हे लेखन परिणामकारक बनले आहे. आपल्या बोलीतून तुकोबाच संवादी झाले आहेत, असे वाटू लागते आणि अध्यात्मही भक्तीसुलभ- अर्थसुलभ होऊन जाते. डॉ. एस. के. पाटील यांच्या अर्थविवरणाला 'जय हरि' म्हणत प्रतिसाद देणे आवश्यकच ठरले आहे. अहिराणीतले तुकोबा सर्वच भाषकांना नव्या अर्थप्रतीतीसाठी सिद्ध करीत आहेत, ही आजच्या काळातली सुंदर आणि चांगलीच गोष्ट आहे.
‘Tukaram: Ahiranitil Nirupan’ by Dr. S. K. Patil Launched in Malegaon
‘Tukaram: Ahiranitil Nirupan’, written by Dr. S. K. Patil and published by Shabdalaya Prakashan, was launched on 17 September 2023 at Maratha Darbar, Malegaon.
The book launch was held in the prominent presence of senior writer and critic Dr. Rangnath Pathare, while Guardian Minister Dada Bhuse presided over the programme. The literary gathering highlighted the rich tradition of the Ahirani language, Marathi saint literature and the importance of literary creation in regional languages.
Bringing Sant Tukaram’s Thought to Readers Through Ahirani
A major focus of ‘Tukaram: Ahiranitil Nirupan’ is the interpretation of Sant Tukaram’s abhangs and spiritual thought in the Ahirani language. Dr. S. K. Patil’s work makes Tukaram’s teachings more accessible to readers who connect naturally with the Ahirani dialect and its oral traditions.
Dr. Patil has been actively involved in spiritual narration, discourses and conversations in Ahirani across the region. His familiarity with the language and local cultural environment gives the book a strong connection with the everyday speech and devotional traditions of Ahirani-speaking communities.
The work places Sant Tukaram within the wider context of Maharashtra’s Warkari tradition, including practices such as bhajan, kirtan, namjap, Harinam Saptah, wari-dindi and Ekadashi. By presenting Tukaram’s abhangs in Ahirani, the book connects classical saint literature with regional speech and contemporary readers.
Dr. Rangnath Pathare on the Literary Strength of Ahirani
At the publication ceremony, Dr. Rangnath Pathare spoke about the richness and literary potential of the Ahirani language. He observed that Ahirani is spoken by a large community and has inherited a strong tradition of words, oral expression and folk culture.
The central idea expressed at the programme was that presenting Sant Tukaram’s literature in Ahirani can take saint literature to new audiences while simultaneously strengthening the literary world of the Ahirani language.

A Regional-Language Interpretation of Tukaram’s Abhangs
The book presents Tukaram’s abhangs not merely as translations, but as meaningful interpretations in a conversational Ahirani style. This makes the spiritual and philosophical content more direct, familiar and accessible.
The source material describes this approach as an effective example of folk-dialogue narration, where Tukaram appears to speak directly to the reader through their own dialect. As a result, spirituality becomes easier to understand, while the force and directness of Tukaram’s thought are retained.
