सत्यजित पाटील लिखित आणि शब्दालय प्रकाशन, श्रीरामपूर प्रकाशित ‘कुब्र : एका शुष्क पानझडी जंगलातील नोंदी’ हा निसर्ग, जंगल आणि माणसाच्या अंतर्मनाला जोडणारा वैशिष्ट्यपूर्ण ललित लेखसंग्रह आहे. शुष्क पानझडी जंगलातील ऋतुचक्र, झाडे-वेली, पक्षी-प्राणी, सूक्ष्म जीवसृष्टी, जंगलातील शांतता आणि त्या वातावरणात अनुभवाला येणारे मानवी भावविश्व लेखकाने अत्यंत संवेदनशील निरीक्षणातून टिपले आहे. जंगलाकडे केवळ पर्यटनस्थळ किंवा संसाधन म्हणून न पाहता, निसर्गातील परस्परसंबंध, सहजीवन आणि माणूस-निसर्ग नाते समजून घेण्याचा एक वेगळा दृष्टिकोन या पुस्तकातून समोर येतो.
या पुस्तकाचा प्रकाशन सोहळा 1 जानेवारी 2023 रोजी नाशिक येथे आयोजित करण्यात आला. कार्यक्रमाच्या अध्यक्षस्थानी ज्येष्ठ समीक्षक डॉ. एकनाथ पगार होते. सुमतीताई लांडे यांची सन्माननीय उपस्थिती लाभली, तर डॉ. रणधीर शिंदे प्रमुख वक्ते होते. याशिवाय वन, पर्यावरण आणि शिक्षण क्षेत्रातील मान्यवरांची उपस्थिती होती. पुस्तकाला साहित्यविश्वातूनही गौरव मिळाला आहे. उपलब्ध माहितीनुसार ग्रंथमित्र डॉ. शिवाजीराव चव्हाण पुरस्कार या पुस्तकाला जाहीर झाला असून, दीनमित्रकार सत्यशोधक मुकुंदराव पाटील साहित्य पुरस्कार 2022–23 हाही सन्मान लेखक सत्यजित पाटील यांना जाहीर करण्यात आला. अशा पुरस्कारांमुळे ‘कुब’च्या निसर्गकेंद्री, संवेदनशील आणि विचारप्रवर्तक लेखनाला साहित्यिक मान्यता मिळाली आहे.

“Kubr: Eka Shushka Panzhadi Jangalatil Nondi” (Notes from a Dry Deciduous Forest), written by Satyajit Patil and published by Shabdalaya Prakashan, Shrirampur,
is a distinctive Marathi collection of literary essays rooted in nature and forest life. Through close observation, the author captures the changing seasons of a dry deciduous forest, its trees, birds, animals, smaller forms of life, silence and the emotional experiences that arise from living close to nature. Rather than treating the forest simply as a landscape or resource, the book explores human–nature relationships, coexistence, biodiversity, environmental awareness and the deeper rhythm of forest life.
The book was formally launched in Nashik on 1 January 2023, with senior critic Dr. Eknath Pagar as the chairperson. Sumatitai Lande was present on behalf of Shabdalaya Prakashan, while Dr. Randhir Shinde was the principal speaker. The book has also received literary recognition. Available records show that Kub was selected for the Granthamitra Dr. Shivajirao Chavan Award, while author Satyajit Patil was also announced as a recipient of the Dinmitrakar Satyashodhak Mukundrao Patil Literature Award 2022–23. These honours recognise the book’s sensitive nature writing, literary quality and thoughtful exploration of forest ecology and human experience.
