सन 1994 मध्ये 'शब्दालय'ला प्रतिष्ठित यशवंतराव चव्हाण साहित्य पुरस्कार प्रदान करण्यात आला, जो आमच्या संस्थेच्या इतिहासातील एक अत्यंत अभिमानाचा क्षण आहे. यशवंतराव चव्हाण साहित्य व सांस्कृतिक प्रतिष्ठान आणि बंटा लोणी मित्र मंडळ यांच्या संयुक्त विद्यमाने आयोजित या सोहळ्यात, आम्हाला हा गौरव प्राप्त झाला. हा पुरस्कार मराठी पुस्तके आणि साहित्य रुजविण्याच्या आमच्या अथक प्रयत्नांची पावती होती.
