About this book

Human beings are defined by the society they belong to. For thousands of years, humanity lived confined within rigid structures, crushed under their weight. A terrifying ideology occupied the human mind, while the arms wielded oppression and mechanisms of domination. The torso embodied a demonic greed for wealth, while the feet represented submission and darkness.

About a century and a half to two centuries ago, the sealed lumps of manufactured goods produced by machines began crashing against these fortified walls. An upheaval began, both within and without. Lightning bolts began reaching the very roots of darkness. Weapons clashed everywhere, from top to bottom. Sparks began to fly—and they continue to fly even today, and will do so in the future.

Humanity is still shackled and remains inhuman. Amid this upheaval, the cultural fabric also began to unravel. Threads came loose, became entangled, and began to break.

And now, over the past five to ten years, all of this has begun to emerge from beneath the surface. Literature by Dalits, workers, and revolutionaries is being born.

Amid this tumult, one voice deserves to be noted—a voice that is clear without being strident, dressed in simple clothes yet steeped in the rich fabric of the soil. A voice that has blossomed from the moats of palaces and the clatter of railway trains, and that sharpens its weapons to pluck the stars from the sky.
