बीड येथे २० आणि २१ जानेवारी २०१८ रोजी आयोजित आठव्या मराठवाडा लेखिका साहित्य संमेलनात मा. सुमती लांडे यांना स्मृतिचिन्ह प्रदान करून गौरविण्यात आले. अहिल्याबाई होळकर महिला प्रतिष्ठान, बीड यांच्या आयोजनातून आणि मराठवाडा साहित्य परिषदेशी संबंधित या संमेलनाने मराठी महिला साहित्यिकांना संवाद, अभिव्यक्ती आणि साहित्यविचारासाठी महत्त्वपूर्ण व्यासपीठ उपलब्ध करून दिले.
सुमती लांडे यांचे मराठी साहित्य, प्रकाशन आणि वाचनसंस्कृतीशी असलेले नाते दीर्घकालीन आहे. शब्दालयच्या माध्यमातून लेखकांना प्रोत्साहन देणे, दर्जेदार मराठी पुस्तके प्रकाशित करणे आणि वाचकांना विविध साहित्यप्रवाहांशी जोडणे या कार्यामुळे त्यांचे योगदान विशेष ठरते.
या साहित्य संमेलनातील सन्मान हा केवळ एका साहित्यिक व्यक्तिमत्त्वाचा गौरव नसून शब्दालयच्या मराठी साहित्यसेवेचीही प्रेरणादायी पावती आहे. महिला लेखनाला प्रोत्साहन, साहित्यिक संवादाचा विस्तार आणि मराठी भाषेच्या समृद्धीसाठी असलेली बांधिलकी या स्मृतिचिन्हातून अधोरेखित होते. शब्दालय परिवारासाठी ही कामगिरी अभिमानाचा क्षण आणि साहित्यिक प्रवासातील संस्मरणीय उपलब्धी आहे.
Sumati Lande was honoured with a commemorative trophy at the 8th Marathwada Women Writers’ Literary Conference held in Beed on 20 and 21 January 2018. Organised by Ahilyabai Holkar Mahila Pratishthan, Beed, and associated with the Marathwada Sahitya Parishad, the conference provided women writers with an important platform for literary expression, dialogue and recognition.
Sumati Lande has maintained a long-standing connection with Marathi literature, publishing and reading culture. Through Shabdalay, she has supported writers, encouraged meaningful Marathi publications and helped connect readers with diverse literary voices.
This recognition celebrates more than an individual literary journey. It also acknowledges Shabdalay’s dedication to Marathi books, women writers and the growth of literary culture. The trophy therefore represents a memorable achievement and a proud milestone in Shabdalay’s continuing journey.
