Today, caste and religion have been turned into battlegrounds. Who is responsible for this? Those driven by the lust for power and those who seek personal gain. The power-hungry need self-serving followers, while those pursuing their own interests become devoted followers of the powerful and relentlessly sing their praises.

Those who crave power repeatedly claim that no one but them is a true patriot. The ideas they promote are often opposed to the principles of democracy. Anyone who challenges them is branded anti-national. We have witnessed this atmosphere during the Delhi elections this year.

At the very beginning of the book, a quotation by Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar is cited, highlighting how easily dishonest people can take refuge in the rhetoric of patriotism. This suggests that those who exploit patriotism for their own benefit are acting dishonestly. History bears witness to this.

I am confident that we will never have to say that dishonest people find it easy to ascend to ministerial positions. Yet, Babasaheb's observation has unfortunately proved to be true in today's political reality.
