Eknath would guide people through his teachings, resolving their doubts, answering their questions, and addressing their differences of opinion. His remarkable ability to communicate, his analytical approach, the gentleness of his voice, the sincerity of his thoughts, and his skill in explaining complex ideas with clarity were truly exceptional. His profound knowledge was evident in his every word.

He would spontaneously compose abhangas (devotional verses) that were deeply moving and touched the hearts of his listeners. He would set these verses to music and sing them aloud with enthusiasm and freedom. To support his explanations, he drew upon examples from the Bhagavad Gita, the Dnyaneshwari, and the devotional compositions of other saints.

His earnestness in persuading people, his quick wit, and his ability to compose humorous abhangas, verses about games, and songs highlighting the importance of folk arts made his kirtans truly distinctive. Through his abhangas, he explained traditional games, demonstrated them in practice, and brought them to life through expressive acting, gestures, and dramatic presentation.

All these elements were enriched by his intense, selfless, and unconditional devotion. The wisdom and moral insights conveyed through his performances captivated audiences so completely that listeners would lose all awareness of time and place, forgetting even their thirst and hunger.

Eknath’s captivating kirtans became a subject of discussion not only throughout the surrounding region but also far beyond it.
