About this book
The brief interval between twilight and the onset of night is called Sanjawa. The day has almost completely faded away. In the lingering, faint glow of the evening sky, the certainty of darkness begins to deepen. The long night that follows is an unbroken absence of light, yet within its depths, the hope of dawn continues to grow.
The cycles of happiness and sorrow in human life unfold in much the same way, fading away and blossoming anew. Memories of happiness that once slipped away, and of freedom from sorrow that was eventually attained, form landscapes of their own. During the twilight years of life, these memories grow increasingly deep and intense, stirring a lingering ache in the heart. All five stories in Sanjawa offer a poetic and dramatic glimpse into these emotions and experiences.
