Dear Sanjay,

I have read the interview carefully. I found it more useful than I had expected, both for myself and in terms of clarifying several aspects of my work more effectively.

While briefly commenting on my entire body of writing, I feel that the interview has brought out the consistency (or the lack of it?) and the development in my literary approach quite clearly. These aspects were, of course, evident to me from a retrospective perspective, but I did not expect readers to recognize them without undertaking a systematic study of my various essays and literary forms. This interview has made that understanding accessible to them.

I also had the opportunity to share some interesting details that would not ordinarily have found a place in a formal essay.

Secondly, I was somewhat surprised to discover how significantly the expression of ideas changes when one uses the conversational form of an interview rather than written prose.

Since you have read all my writings systematically, the interview has achieved a certain precision. Most interviewers tend to take advantage of the opportunity to hear, directly from the author, about works they themselves have not read.
