सारिका यांच्या ‘लाकडाची देवी’ या कथासंग्रहाचा छत्रपती संभाजीनगर येथे शाब्दालय प्रकाशन आणि प्रगतिशील लेखक संघ यांच्या संयुक्त विद्यमाने प्रकाशन सोहळा उत्साहात संपन्न झाला. ग्रामीण जीवन, स्त्रियांचे भावविश्व, नातेसंबंध आणि सामाजिक वास्तव यांचे दर्शन घडवणाऱ्या या कथासंग्रहातील स्त्रीजीवनाचे विविध पैलू मान्यवरांनी अधोरेखित केले.
The launch of Lakdachi Devi, a story collection by Sarika, was held in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, jointly organised by Shabdalaya Prakashan and the Progressive Writers’ Association. The collection explores rural life, women’s emotional worlds, relationships and social realities, highlighting the extraordinary dimensions of ordinary women’s lives.
सारिका यांच्या ‘लाकडाची देवी’ या कथासंग्रहाचा प्रकाशन सोहळा २५ ऑक्टोबर २०२६ रोजी छत्रपती संभाजीनगर येथे गांधी भवन, समर्थनगर येथे उत्साहात पार पडला. शाब्दालय प्रकाशन आणि प्रगतिशील लेखक संघ यांच्या संयुक्त विद्यमाने आयोजित या कार्यक्रमाला साहित्यप्रेमी, लेखक आणि वाचकांचा उत्स्फूर्त प्रतिसाद लाभला.
‘लाकडाची देवी’ हा ग्रामीण जीवनाचे वास्तव आणि सामान्य स्त्रियांच्या असामान्य व्यक्तिमत्त्वाचे दर्शन घडवणारा कथासंग्रह आहे. ग्रामीण भागातील स्त्रियांचे जगणे, त्यांचे भावविश्व, नातेसंबंधांतील गुंतागुंत, प्रेम, दुःख, संघर्ष आणि सामाजिक विषमता यांचे चित्रण या कथांमधून प्रभावीपणे व्यक्त होते. स्त्रियांच्या जीवनातील वेदना, त्यांची जिद्द आणि त्यांच्या व्यक्तिमत्त्वातील विविध पैलू लेखिकेने संवेदनशीलतेने मांडले आहेत.
कार्यक्रमाच्या अध्यक्षस्थानी कथाकार ललिता गाडगे होत्या. कथाकार बालाजी सुतार यांनी कथासंग्रहाविषयी आपले विचार मांडले. समीक्षक रामचंद्र काळुंखे आणि कवी राजेंद्र गोनारकर यांनीही पुस्तकाविषयी भाष्य केले. कार्यक्रमाचे प्रास्ताविक प्रा. समाधान इंगळे यांनी केले, तर आभारप्रदर्शन सुनील उबाळे यांनी केले. कार्यक्रमाचे सूत्रसंचालन शरयू परळकर यांनी केले.
सामान्य स्त्रियांच्या आयुष्यातील असामान्यत्व आणि ग्रामीण समाजजीवनातील विविध वास्तवांचा वेध घेणारा ‘लाकडाची देवी’ हा कथासंग्रह मराठी वाचकांसाठी महत्त्वपूर्ण साहित्यकृती ठरतो. शाब्दालय प्रकाशनाच्या या उपक्रमातून समकालीन मराठी कथासाहित्याला नवी ओळख मिळते.
The launch of Lakdachi Devi, a story collection by Sarika, was held on 25 October 2026 at Gandhi Bhavan, Samarthnagar, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. The event was jointly organised by Shabdalaya Prakashan and the Progressive Writers’ Association and received an enthusiastic response from writers, readers and literature enthusiasts.
Lakdachi Devi explores rural life and the extraordinary dimensions of ordinary women. The stories portray women’s lived experiences, emotional worlds, complex relationships, love, sorrow, struggles and social inequalities. Through sensitive storytelling, Sarika brings out the pain, resilience and diverse facets of women’s lives, offering readers an insight into the realities of rural society.
The programme was presided over by storyteller Lalita Gadge. Storyteller Balaji Sutar shared his thoughts on the collection, while critic Ramchandra Kalunkhe and poet Rajendra Gonarkar also spoke about the book. Professor Samadhan Ingale delivered the introductory remarks, Sunil Ubale proposed the vote of thanks, and Sharayu Paralkar conducted the programme.
By highlighting the strength and complexity of women’s lives against the backdrop of rural society, Lakdachi Devi makes a meaningful contribution to contemporary Marathi storytelling. The publication reflects Shabdalaya Prakashan’s continued commitment to bringing significant Marathi literary works to readers.
