About this book
This novel won first prize in a competition organized by Rajhans for writing science fiction for adolescent readers. It is an engaging read not only for young readers but also for adults.
The plot of the novel is truly extraordinary. A professor and his intelligent fifteen-year-old son attempt to investigate a robbery that took place in 1695 on a ship owned by Aurangzeb. What makes this idea particularly fascinating is that they use artificial intelligence to solve the mystery.
Although it is a science fiction novel, the author has avoided overwhelming readers with excessive technical information. Information about artificial intelligence and robots appears from time to time, but only to the extent necessary and naturally within the flow of the narrative. The information is presented in such a way that it sparks the reader’s curiosity without interrupting the reading experience.
The characters are vividly portrayed, and the dialogues are natural and engaging. The science is accurate, and the mystery keeps readers engrossed until the very end. Once you pick up this book, you will find it difficult to put down until you have finished reading it.
