About this book
Today, globalization is being discussed everywhere. But what exactly is globalization? Since the word implies a process of “making” or “bringing about,” someone must be carrying it out. Who is driving globalization? For what purpose, and for whose benefit?
If it is described as global, it must be a universal process—one that encompasses the entire planet. Its consequences will affect the whole world. Although we cannot guarantee that these consequences will be identical everywhere, people across the world will inevitably experience them in one way or another.
Who initiated this process, and when? Who supports it, and who opposes it? Is globalization a process that serves the interests of all humanity, or will the billions of vulnerable people among us be crushed under its weight? Is this, in fact, an attempt to promote a philosophy or ideology that suggests that vulnerable people deserve to be crushed and eliminated?
