“Marx once said that the world needs to be changed. Whether it is philosophy, art, or any other form of creation, its direction should be oriented towards bringing about this necessary change. In other words, the direction of creation should be life-sustaining, not destructive. We need to take hold of this fundamental principle, revive it at an entirely different level, and interpret it from a radically new perspective.

Many things that are available to us today were not available to Marx in the nineteenth century. Some of Marx’s predictions about the future proved incorrect, as did some of the predictions made by those who followed his ideas. However, the fundamental problem he identified, and the way he conceptualized it, need to be reconsidered in the context of contemporary scientific knowledge, our understanding of the world, and the biological struggle for survival.

It is essential to preserve the fighting spirit. Art must retain a sense of self-preservation. This is a struggle for survival, and it is important that art preserve the voice of this struggle. I feel that this principle of self-preservation, this way of thinking, needs to take root once again. If it does, an entire generation could discover a completely new direction.

Everyone will write in their own way, but the ultimate criterion for their writing will be whether it sustains life or destroys it. Even someone like Kafka helps us endure life because the universe he sees offers an antidote to the dreams and illusions that everyone else seems to share.”
