शब्दालय प्रकाशनाला वि. पु. भागवत स्मृती पुरस्कार—साहित्यिक वाटचालीचा गौरव Shabdalay Publications Receives the V. P. Bhagwat Memorial Award

मुंबई मराठी साहित्य संघातर्फे प्रकाशन संस्थांना प्रदान करण्यात येणारा प्रतिष्ठेचा वि. पु. भागवत स्मृती पुरस्कार सुमती लांडे यांच्या शब्दालय प्रकाशन संस्थेला जाहीर झाला. वृत्तकात्रणातील माहितीनुसार हा पुरस्कार १ ऑगस्ट रोजी मुंबईत आयोजित सोहळ्यात प्रदान करण्यात येणार होता.

वि. पु. भागवत हे मुद्रण आणि प्रकाशन क्षेत्रातील जाणकार म्हणून प्रसिद्ध होते. त्यांच्या स्मृतिप्रीत्यर्थ मुद्रण व प्रकाशन क्षेत्रात उत्कृष्ट आणि उल्लेखनीय कार्य करणाऱ्या संस्थांना हा पुरस्कार दिला जातो. शब्दालय प्रकाशनाची या पुरस्कारासाठी झालेली निवड संस्थेच्या दर्जेदार साहित्यसेवेची प्रतिष्ठित पावती ठरली.

सुमती लांडे यांच्या नेतृत्वाखाली शब्दालय प्रकाशनाने विविध विषयांवरील अनेक मराठी पुस्तके प्रकाशित केली. ग्रामीण भागात राहून उत्तम साहित्य प्रकाशित करणारी आणि नव्या लेखकांना व्यासपीठ उपलब्ध करून देणारी संस्था म्हणून शब्दालयने आपली स्वतंत्र ओळख निर्माण केली.

Shabdalay Publications, founded and led by Sumati Lande, was selected for the prestigious V. P. Bhagwat Memorial Award presented by the Mumbai Marathi Sahitya Sangh. According to the newspaper clipping, the award ceremony was scheduled to take place in Mumbai on 1 August.
