प्रवीण बांदेकर यांच्या ‘चाळेगत’ कादंबरीचे प्रकाशन श्रीराम वाचन मंदिरात करण्यात आले. ज्येष्ठ साहित्यिक रंगनाथ पठारे यांनी कादंबरीतील दक्षिण कोकणातील सर्वसामान्य माणसांचे जीवन, वेदना आणि सामाजिक-सांस्कृतिक स्थित्यंतरांचे चित्रण अधोरेखित केले.
Pravin Bandekar’s novel Chalegat was launched at Shriram Vachan Mandir. Senior writer Ranganath Pathare highlighted the novel’s portrayal of ordinary lives, unspoken pain and social, political and cultural changes in the southern Konkan region.
प्रवीण बांदेकर यांच्या ‘चाळेगत’ या कादंबरीचा प्रकाशन सोहळा श्रीराम वाचन मंदिरात आयोजित करण्यात आला. शब्दालय प्रकाशित या कादंबरीच्या प्रकाशनप्रसंगी ज्येष्ठ साहित्यिक रंगनाथ पठारे यांनी पुस्तकाच्या आशयाबद्दल आणि साहित्यिक महत्त्वाबद्दल विचार मांडले.
रंगनाथ पठारे यांच्या मते, दक्षिण कोकणातील सर्वसामान्य माणसांचे जगणे, त्यांच्या मनातील वेदना आणि त्यांच्यावर प्रभाव टाकणारी राजकीय, सामाजिक व सांस्कृतिक स्थित्यंतरे प्रवीण बांदेकर यांनी कादंबरीत प्रभावीपणे व्यक्त केली आहेत. समाजाच्या मुख्य प्रवाहामध्ये सहजपणे न दिसणारे जीवनानुभव आणि माणसांच्या मनातील अव्यक्त भावविश्व ‘चाळेगत’मधून वाचकांसमोर येते.
कादंबरीमध्ये बदलत्या परिस्थितीचा सामान्य माणसाच्या जीवनावर होणारा परिणाम, ग्रामीण आणि कोकणी समाजातील नातेसंबंध तसेच सामाजिक-सांस्कृतिक बदलांमुळे निर्माण होणारे प्रश्न साहित्यिक रूपात मांडले आहेत. व्यक्तिरेखांचे अनुभव आणि त्यांच्या जगण्यातील संघर्ष कादंबरीला व्यापक सामाजिक संदर्भ प्रदान करतात.
श्रीराम वाचन मंदिरात झालेल्या प्रकाशन सोहळ्याला साहित्यिक, कवी, अभ्यासक आणि वाचक उपस्थित होते. कार्यक्रमात मराठी कादंबरीचे बदलते स्वरूप, लेखकाची सामाजिक जाणीव आणि प्रादेशिक जीवनानुभवांना साहित्यात मिळणारे स्थान या विषयांवरही विचारमंथन झाले.

Pravin Bandekar’s Marathi novel Chalegat was launched at a literary programme organised at Shriram Vachan Mandir. Speaking at the event, senior writer Ranganath Pathare discussed the novel’s subject, its social context and its portrayal of life in the southern Konkan region.
According to Pathare, Bandekar’s novel gives literary expression to the lives and unspoken pain of ordinary people. It examines the political, social and cultural transitions that influence individuals and communities but often remain outside mainstream narratives.
The novel explores how changing circumstances affect ordinary lives, personal relationships and rural communities. Through its characters and their experiences, Chalegat connects individual struggles with the wider social realities of the Konkan region.
Writers, poets, readers and literary personalities attended the publication programme. The event also encouraged discussion about contemporary Marathi fiction, regional experiences and the responsibility of literature to represent lives that are frequently overlooked.
