About this book
We belong to one of the seven or eight largest linguistic communities in the world. We possess a rich legacy of an exceptionally strong cultural and linguistic tradition. We undoubtedly have an inherent cultural essence and vitality, and there is a long-standing tradition of expressing and bringing this essence to the fore. Today, recognising and understanding this legacy has become a necessity.
This awareness must emerge in response to the questions raised by the present and in the context of the challenges of our contemporary times. It is with this purpose that I am working on Sattvachi Bhasha (The Language of Cultural Essence).
The fact that I have nurtured this persistent urge to develop such a language for so many years—and that this urge has grown even stronger today—convinces me that the endeavour must hold particular significance. Naturally, I hope others will recognise its importance as well. Indeed, it is precisely to achieve this that I am presenting this proposition for cultural vitality.
