Shabdalay Prakashan brought writers, poets, artists and readers together through a three-day book exhibition, a collaborative poetry-and-art presentation and a poets’ gathering at Agashe Hall in Shrirampur. This Sakal newspaper clipping preserves an important chapter in Shabdalay’s literary journey.
शब्दालय प्रकाशन संस्थेच्या वतीने २१ ते २३ फेब्रुवारी २००३ या कालावधीत श्रीरामपूर येथील आगाशे सभागृहात पुस्तक प्रदर्शन आयोजित करण्यात आले होते. शब्दालयच्या प्रमुख सुमती लांडे यांनी दिलेल्या माहितीनुसार, साहित्यिक रंगनाथ पठारे यांच्या हस्ते प्रदर्शनाचे उद्घाटन करण्यात आले. या प्रसंगी अविनाश आव्हाड अध्यक्षस्थानी होते, तर आमदार जयंत ससाणे आणि अनिल काबळे प्रमुख पाहुणे म्हणून उपस्थित होते.
२२ फेब्रुवारी रोजी चित्रकार धनंजय गोवर्धने आणि कवी प्रकाश होळकर यांच्या सहभागातून चित्र-काव्य सहनिर्मितीचा अभिनव कार्यक्रम आयोजित करण्यात आला. या कार्यक्रमासाठी डॉ. सुभाष आगाशे प्रमुख पाहुणे होते. चित्रकला आणि कवितेचा सर्जनशील संवाद घडवणारा हा उपक्रम साहित्यप्रेमींसाठी विशेष आकर्षण ठरला.
२३ फेब्रुवारी रोजी नगराध्यक्षा राजश्री ससाणे आणि मीनाताई जगधने यांच्या प्रमुख उपस्थितीत कविसंमेलन आयोजित करण्यात आले. राधाकिसन देवरे, संतोष पवार, बाबासाहेब सौदागर, बाबूराव उपाध्ये, रायभान दवगे, यशवंत पुलाटे, नितेश तांबे, मनीषा गायकवाड, संगीता फासाटे आणि दादासाहेब कोते आदी कवींनी या संमेलनात सहभाग घेतला.
पुस्तक प्रदर्शन, मराठी कविता, चित्रकला आणि साहित्यिक संवाद यांचा संगम घडवणाऱ्या या कार्यक्रमाने श्रीरामपूरमधील वाचकांना पुस्तके आणि लेखकांशी जोडले. दै. सकाळमध्ये प्रसिद्ध झालेले हे वृत्तकात्रण शब्दालयच्या पुस्तकप्रसार, लेखक-वाचक संवाद आणि मराठी साहित्यसेवेच्या सातत्यपूर्ण प्रयत्नांचे महत्त्वपूर्ण दस्तऐवज आहे.
Shabdalay Prakashan organised a three-day book exhibition at Agashe Hall in Shrirampur from 21 to 23 February 2003. According to information shared by Shabdalay representative Sumati Lande, the exhibition was inaugurated by noted Marathi writer Ranganath Pathare. Avinash Avhad presided over the inaugural programme, while MLA Jayant Sasane and Anil Kabale attended as distinguished guests.
On 22 February, artist Dhananjay Govardhane and poet Prakash Holkar participated in a collaborative poetry-and-art presentation. Dr Subhash Agashe attended the programme as the chief guest. The creative event brought visual art and Marathi poetry together on a shared literary platform.
A poets’ gathering was held on 23 February in the presence of municipal president Rajshri Sasane and Meenatai Jagdhane. Several regional poets participated, making the event an important celebration of Marathi poetry and local literary talent.
By combining a Marathi book exhibition with poetry, art and public literary programmes, Shabdalay created a meaningful connection between books, writers and readers. Published in the Sakal newspaper, this archival clipping documents Shabdalay’s longstanding contribution to book promotion, Marathi literature and an inclusive reading culture.
