जागतिकीकरणाच्या काळात संस्कृती टिकविण्याची गरज The Need to Preserve Culture in an Era of Globalisation

चित्रकार आणि लेखक धनंजय गोवर्धने यांच्या ‘नि:शब्द कोलाहल’ या पुस्तकाचा प्रकाशन सोहळा १८ जून २००५ रोजी नाशिकच्या परशुराम सायखेडकर नाट्यगृहात आयोजित करण्यात आला होता. ज्येष्ठ साहित्यिक आणि ‘कोसला’कार डॉ. भालचंद्र नेमाडे यांच्या हस्ते पुस्तकाचे प्रकाशन झाले. कार्यक्रमाचे वृत्त ‘जागतिकीकरणाच्या काळात संस्कृती टिकविण्याची गरज’ या शीर्षकाखाली लोकमत—नाशिकच्या रविवार, १९ जून २००५च्या ‘नाशिक परिसर’ पुरवणीत प्रसिद्ध झाले.

डॉ. भालचंद्र नेमाडे यांनी जागतिकीकरणाच्या प्रभावामुळे स्थानिक भाषा, कला, संस्कृती आणि जीवनपद्धतीसमोर निर्माण झालेल्या आव्हानांवर भाष्य केले. जागतिक माध्यमांचा वाढता प्रभाव असताना मराठी भाषा, स्थानिक परंपरा आणि सांस्कृतिक ओळख जपणे आवश्यक असल्याचे त्यांनी सांगितले. आधुनिकतेचा स्वीकार करतानाच आपल्या सांस्कृतिक मुळांशी असलेले नाते टिकविण्याचा संदेश या कार्यक्रमातून देण्यात आला.

‘नि:शब्द कोलाहल’मध्ये धनंजय गोवर्धने यांनी चित्रकला, छायाचित्रण आणि लेखन यांचा प्रभावी संगम साधला आहे. चित्र आणि शब्द या दोन्ही माध्यमांतून मानवी स्वभाव, भावना, सामाजिक वास्तव आणि जीवनातील विविध अनुभव मांडले आहेत. त्यामुळे हे पुस्तक दृश्यकला आणि मराठी साहित्य यांना जोडणारा संवेदनशील दस्तऐवज ठरते.

कार्यक्रमाला डॉ. भालचंद्र नेमाडे, रंगनाथ पठारे, डॉ. राजन गवस, धनंजय गोवर्धने, प्रतिभा नेमाडे, छाया गोवर्धने आणि प्रकाशक सुमती लांडे यांच्यासह विविध साहित्यिक मान्यवर उपस्थित होते. प्रकाशक सुमती लांडे यांच्या सहभागामुळे ही घटना शब्दालयच्या साहित्यिक इतिहासाशी जोडली जाते.

मराठी पुस्तके, लेखक, चित्रकार आणि सांस्कृतिक विचारांना व्यासपीठ देण्याच्या शब्दालयच्या भूमिकेची आठवण करून देणारे हे वृत्तपत्रीय कात्रण आहे. शब्दालयच्या News & Media संग्रहातील ही नोंद मराठी साहित्य, पुस्तक प्रकाशन, दृश्यकला आणि संस्कृती संवर्धनाचा महत्त्वपूर्ण ऐतिहासिक दस्तऐवज आहे.

Artist and author Dhananjay Govardhane’s book Nishabd Kolahal was launched at Parshuram Saykhedkar Natyagruha in Nashik on 18 June 2005. Distinguished Marathi writer and Kosala author Dr Bhalchandra Nemade formally released the publication. Lokmat—Nashik reported the event under the headline “The Need to Preserve Culture in an Era of Globalisation” in its Nashik Parisar supplement on Sunday, 19 June 2005.

Dr Nemade spoke about the challenges faced by regional languages, art, culture and traditional ways of life under the growing influence of globalisation. While engaging with modernity, communities must maintain their relationship with their cultural roots and preserve their linguistic and cultural identities.

In Nishabd Kolahal, Dhananjay Govardhane brings together painting, photography and writing. Through images and words, the book explores human behaviour, emotions, social realities and diverse life experiences. It therefore forms a sensitive bridge between visual art and Marathi literature.

The launch was attended by Dr Bhalchandra Nemade, Ranganath Pathare, Dr Rajan Gavas, Dhananjay Govardhane, Pratibha Nemade, Chhaya Govardhane and publisher Sumati Lande, among other literary personalities. Sumati Lande’s involvement connects the event with Shabdalay’s literary history.
