पुणे पुस्तक महोत्सव 2024 हा पुस्तकप्रेमी, लेखक, प्रकाशक आणि मराठी साहित्याच्या रसिकांसाठी महत्त्वाचा साहित्यिक उपक्रम ठरला. 14 ते 22 डिसेंबर 2024 या कालावधीत फर्ग्युसन महाविद्यालय, पुणे येथे आयोजित या पुस्तक महोत्सवात शब्दालय प्रकाशन सहभागी झाले होते. महोत्सवातील स्टॉल क्रमांक D-26 येथे शब्दालय प्रकाशनाने कथा, कादंबरी, कविता, बालसाहित्य, वैचारिक साहित्य, समीक्षा, चरित्र, ग्रामीण साहित्य आणि विविध विषयांवरील दर्जेदार मराठी पुस्तकांचे विस्तृत प्रदर्शन मांडले होते.
दररोज सकाळी 11 ते रात्री 8 वाजेपर्यंत सुरू असलेल्या या Pune Book Festival book exhibition मध्ये वाचकांना एका ठिकाणी विविध साहित्यप्रकारांतील पुस्तके पाहता आणि खरेदी करता आली. पुस्तकांच्या आकर्षक मांडणीसोबतच वाचक आणि साहित्यिकांमधील संवादामुळे शब्दालय प्रकाशनाचा स्टॉल साहित्यप्रेमींसाठी विशेष आकर्षण ठरला. नव्या लेखकांची पुस्तके, समकालीन मराठी साहित्य तसेच विविध पिढ्यांतील वाचकांना आवडतील अशी शीर्षके येथे उपलब्ध होती.
याच पुणे पुस्तक महोत्सवात लेखक जितेंद्र कुवर यांच्या ‘चिंचेवरले भूत आणि इतर गोष्टी’ या कथासंग्रहाचे प्रकाशन मा. आबा महाजन आणि मा. संदीप पाटील यांच्या हस्ते पार पडले. शब्दालय प्रकाशन प्रकाशित हा कथासंग्रह बालपण, किशोरवयीन अनुभव, निसर्ग, ग्रामीण जीवन, मैत्री, भीती, कुतूहल आणि आठवणींचे संवेदनशील चित्रण करतो. लहान मुलांपासून प्रौढ वाचकांपर्यंत सर्वांना भावेल अशा या पुस्तकाला महोत्सवात विशेष सवलतीत उपलब्ध करून देण्यात आले.
या कथासंग्रहातील कथा बालमनाच्या दृष्टीने साध्या वाटणाऱ्या घटनांमधील आश्चर्य, संवेदना आणि जीवनानुभव उलगडतात. झाडे, नदी, पक्षी, गाव, मैत्री आणि बालपणीच्या आठवणी या कथांच्या केंद्रस्थानी येतात. त्यामुळे Marathi children’s literature, किशोरवयीन कथा, Marathi short stories, rural Marathi literature आणि childhood memories यांमध्ये रस असलेल्या वाचकांसाठी हे पुस्तक विशेष आकर्षण ठरले.
शब्दालय प्रकाशनाच्या स्टॉलवर अनेक वाचक, साहित्यिक आणि पुस्तकप्रेमींनी भेट देऊन विविध पुस्तकांशी परिचय करून घेतला. अशा पुस्तक प्रदर्शनांमुळे मराठी वाचनसंस्कृती, नवीन लेखकांचे साहित्य, गुणवत्तापूर्ण प्रकाशन आणि वाचक यांच्यातील थेट संबंध अधिक दृढ होतो. Shabdalaya Prakashan at Pune Book Festival 2024 हा उपक्रम मराठी पुस्तकांच्या प्रसारासाठी आणि वाचनसंस्कृतीच्या वृद्धीसाठी महत्त्वपूर्ण ठरला.

Shabdalaya Prakashan Showcases Marathi Literature at Pune Book Festival 2024
The Pune Book Festival 2024 brought together readers, writers, publishers and literature enthusiasts for a major celebration of books and reading in Pune. Held from 14 to 22 December 2024 at Fergusson College, Pune, the festival featured a wide range of publishers, including Shabdalaya Prakashan, which presented an extensive collection of quality Marathi books at Stall D-26.
Open daily from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM, the Shabdalaya Prakashan book stall featured books across several genres, including Marathi short stories, novels, poetry, children’s literature, literary criticism, biographies, rural literature and thought-provoking non-fiction. The exhibition provided readers with an opportunity to discover established as well as emerging Marathi writers while interacting directly with books, publishers and fellow literature lovers.
One of the important highlights of the Shabdalaya Prakashan exhibition at Pune Book Festival 2024 was the launch of “Chinchevarle Bhoot Ani Itar Goshti,” a Marathi short-story collection written by Jitendra Kuvar. The book was formally released by Aaba Mahajan and Sandeep Patil during the festival.
Published by Shabdalaya Prakashan, Chinchevarle Bhoot Ani Itar Goshti explores childhood, adolescence, village life, nature, friendship, curiosity, fear and memories. Through sensitive storytelling, the collection presents ordinary experiences from the perspective of a growing child and reveals the emotional meanings hidden within them. Its accessible storytelling makes it suitable for young readers as well as adults who enjoy nostalgic reflections on childhood.
The book was available at a special festival discount, allowing more readers to discover the collection. Its combination of Marathi children’s literature, adolescent experiences, rural storytelling and nature-based short stories made it an appealing title for families, teachers, young readers and Marathi literature enthusiasts.
The Shabdalaya Prakashan stall also offered a rich selection of books representing different voices and literary genres. The well-organised exhibition encouraged visitors to browse, explore and engage with Marathi books in a welcoming environment. Events such as the Pune Book Festival play an important role in strengthening the reading culture, promoting Marathi publishers and connecting authors directly with readers.
Through its participation in the Pune Book Festival 2024 at Fergusson College, Shabdalaya Prakashan reinforced its commitment to promoting Marathi literature, quality books, new writers and reading culture in Maharashtra.
